Come walk the yard on Highway 146

Deep Roots Nursery is a garden center you pull into on Hwy 146. Browse the shade houses, step through the greenhouse, and load dirt, mulch, or rock before you leave. We are open for Baytown and the surrounding Gulf Coast towns. Come see what is on the lot this week.

Trees, shrubs, and plants for the yard

Walk the outdoor beds and shade houses for trees, shrubs, seasonal color, herbs, and vegetables. Stock changes with the season, and someone on the yard can help you match plants to Baytown heat, sun, and soil. If you are shopping for a foundation bed, a shade tree, or a weekend vegetable start, start here.

Inside the greenhouse

The greenhouse is the cool stop on a hot Baytown day. Find houseplants, hanging baskets, and gift-ready pots for the porch or living room. Local honey sits near the counter for a jar to take home with your plants.

Dirt, mulch, and rock by the load

Pull into the bulk yard when the beds need filling. Load dirt, mulch, and rock for paths, drainage, and new plantings. Ask on site about what is in the bays and about delivery if you need a larger load than your truck can take.

Chase and Madison Johnson

Chase and Madison Johnson own Deep Roots Nursery. They took over the Baytown yard in 2024 and keep the doors open for neighbors who want real plants, a greenhouse worth walking, and a load of dirt or rock without a big-box run. You will often find them on the lot. Come say hello.

Deep Roots also runs a sister nursery in Old River-Winfree. Come see us at the Baytown garden center on Highway 146.
